We understand that balance is essential in how government responds to safeguarding public health and protecting the economy for the long-term.

Strike up a conversation with any business owner on the challenges to growing jobs in Minnesota, and the themes ring familiar. High taxes hinder growth. Access to quality health care at an affordable price. The increasing number of government-mandates on employee benefits. Shortage of skilled workers.

On Thursday, the House and Senate tax chairs joined the Chamber's Fiscal Policy Committee to share their priorities for the 2020 legislative session. Both Rep. Paul Marquart and Sen. Roger Chamberlain expressed a desire to fully conform with Section 179, helping small businesses and farmers throughout the state.
