Minnesota Chamber Foundation

Empowering Minnesota’s Economic Future

Understanding Minnesota’s economic future is key to its long-term success. The Minnesota Chamber Foundation is poised to play a critical role in strengthening the business environment to improve the lives of all Minnesotans through economic research, workforce solutions and leadership.

Center for Economic Research (CER)

The Foundation’s Center for Economic Research (CER) is an essential component of the work of the Minnesota Chamber Foundation. It’s critical to understand how Minnesota’s economy impacts businesses’ ability to recover, and continue to create jobs and prosperity for the long term. The center releases and analyzes research, keeping Minnesota Chamber members and the broader business community abreast of economic challenges and opportunities.

Center for Workforce Solutions

The Center for Workforce Solutions is the first-of-its kind in Minnesota, a business-led initiative to ensure employers and employees possess the necessary tools for jobs of the future. Through innovative programs, creative leadership and key partnerships, it offers solutions to confront the state’s worker shortage. The Center is developing a robust resource for employers seeking to tap into Minnesota’s hidden talent pools, providing more opportunities for both potential workers, and employees.

Economic dashboard for Minnesota's recovery

The Minnesota Chamber Foundation economic dashboard is aimed at providing real-time updates on Minnesota’s economy as the state begins to recover from the shock of COVID-19. This online portal offers indicators and analysis of employment and income, business recovery and consumer and business spending.

Jeff DeYoung, Foundation Board Chair

a

The Minnesota Chamber Foundation plays a critical role in producing economic data and analysis on the performance of Minnesota’s economic recovery. I am proud to lead this organization, along with a highly qualified board of directors, to help inform the state’s business community and policy makers on the challenges that continue to confront our economic growth. Additionally, the Foundation’s growing statewide workforce diversity, equity and inclusion effort is the only such effort led by a state chamber in the country, amplifying our commitment to building inclusive workplaces across Minnesota.
