Burnsville Chamber connects education and industry in workforce development
The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce is a Grow Minnesota! partner and part of the Minnesota Chamber’s Business Education Network (BEN). They play a key role in connecting education and industry through its workforce development initiatives, including teacher externships and career pathway programs.
Through teacher externships, local educators gain hands-on experience in businesses and industries, allowing them to better understand current workforce needs and bring real-world relevance back into their classrooms. At the same time, the Burnsville Chamber partners with schools to support career pathway programs that expose students to a wide range of fields and help them build skills aligned with local job opportunities.
Together, these programs strengthen the talent pipeline by bridging the gap between classroom learning and career readiness, benefiting both students and the regional economy.
