Voting heats up for the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest

By Doug Loon
President and CEO
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
It’s been an exciting week as public voting kicked off Tuesday for the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest. We began with 64 incredible products, and that number will shrink to 32 on Monday. Head to coolestthingmn.com to cast your vote today and the weeks that follow – matchups include everything from chocolate bars and fireplace inserts to RVs and massive laser cutters. All of which are proudly made right here in Minnesota!
These products showcase the strength and creativity of our manufacturers – both large and small – from every corner of the state. Voting continues each week until the winner is announced at our Manufacturers’ Summit on October 7.
Also on top of mind is Minnesota’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave law, taking effect January 1, 2026. This is a major shift for employers and employees alike, and the Chamber is here to help you navigate the changes. Visit mnchamber.com/paidleave for free resources, FAQs and guidance.
With that being said, I also encourage you to register for our Workplace Compliance Conference taking place on Tuesday, October 21 at Bunker Hills Golf Course. Paid Family and Medical Leave compliance will take center stage, with DEED officials and Chamber experts on hand to explain requirements. This event is expected to sell out, so reserve your spot today!
Thank you for supporting Minnesota business and celebrating the amazing things made in our state. Enjoy your weekend, and I look forward to connecting with you on next week’s episode of the Minnesota Business Podcast.
