Biography Details

Karre works with businesses in Ramsey and Washington Counties to implement and improve recycling and waste reduction programs. 

Karre joined Waste Wise in February of 2021. Prior to joining Waste Wise, Karre completed an AmeriCorps Year of Service through the Minnesota GreenCorps Program. Karre worked with the Minnesota Zoo to analyze current sustainability practices and evaluate opportunities for resource conservation projects throughout their Apple Valley location. Karre graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a BS in Geography, with a focus on Physical Geography and Climate Science and a minor in Sustainability Studies. 

Karre is passionate about nature, wildlife and the environment. When not working Karre enjoys hiking, camping, reading, baking and hanging out with her cat and two dogs.
