1. Accept the basic premise that the private sector should lead business retention and expansion efforts.
2. Participants must be committed to advancing Minnesota's economy through a statewide effort, recognizing that their individual efforts will focus on a specific community or region.
3. Conduct a specified number of retention calls each year using private sector CEO's or equivalent business leaders, accompanied by chamber executive-equal to at least 5% of local chamber membership. (The companies visited do not have to be local chamber members.) Report results to statewide database within one week of the call.
4. Agree to participate in the statewide lead sharing pool and have a procedure in place for timely response to leads.
5. Participate in all meetings of Grow Minnesota! partner chambers.
6. The chamber must be an advocate for the business community on local and state issues. It should be able to demonstrate effective advocacy on business issues brought to its attention by Grow Minnesota! visits.
