MWW Leaders are chosen by a panel of judges comprised of business leaders, Minnesota Chamber staff, Office of Environmental Assistance staff and past award recipients. The panel is asked to evaluate applications and vote for those members that demonstrate true leadership in waste reduction. There is no set number of awards given per year.
MWW Leaders serve as environmental role models for their community and the MWW program. They are awarded an official plaque and their story is highlighted in the MWW newsletter and in the local press.
